Sheila Sanders, MD, obtained her undergraduate degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University, magna cum laude. She attended medical school and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, then her glaucoma fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. She has been a member of the UK faculty for 27 years. Dr. Sanders is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a Top Doctor, a two-time recipient of the departmental teaching award, and is known for her consistently high patient satisfaction scores.
