I was drawn to the University of Kentucky’s General Surgery Residency Program because we get to serve a vulnerable patient population with complex pathology, giving me meaningful hands-on experience. I appreciate the early graduated autonomy, which will help me grow confidently as a surgeon. The global surgery opportunities and supportive people in the program make it even more appealing—and being close to home is a great bonus.
