Why did you choose the University of Kentucky?

Kentucky is home- I came to UK for undergrad and never left! The attendings, residents, and interdisciplinary team members are some of my greatest role models, and I knew I wanted to become the kind of doctor they all are. I also love being able to serve the children and families of Kentucky. It is such a special opportunity to care for these patients, develop genuine relationships, and bond over shared experiences. Everyone here shares a strong sense of pride in being a part of the UK family. Whenever I walk through the halls, I run into a smiling face of someone who knows me by name.

What do you like about your program?

Our program is the perfect size! I love that our hospital sees a high volume of diverse and complex patients to ensure we have a strong foundation of training, but at the same time we all know each other outside of the hospital. All of the residents know about each other's lives, families, and interests. The faculty do too, and they know how to best support your individual career goals and how you learn best to help you grow into the best physician you can be! The faculty and residents are each other's biggest cheerleaders. It is so fun to go through this phase of life when you are cheering each other on and getting to celebrate so many exciting milestones along the way!

What are your hobbies?

Hosting, party planning, cards & board games, Keeneland, and UK basketball & football!
