I chose UK because of the community and surgical experience! I felt like the residents enjoyed working together and spending time together outside of work. They also included non-medical spouses so well. The culture of UK, from those that I interacted with, the benefits offered, and the patient complexity and volume that is welcomed each day made me confident in the experience I would have here! A fun bonus is that the UK undergraduate campus is close, so I get to enjoy D1 college sports!
