Laura P Bellnier

Laura Bellnier is a Research Project Manager for Dr. Bush’s lab, leading HHARC, CHHIRP, and contributing to several additional studies. She earned a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from Berea College. Laura worked in nonprofit programs and volunteer management for several years before transitioning to clinical research as a graduate research assistant, then becoming a full-time researcher at the University of Kentucky. Laura is passionate about understanding the experiences and needs of research participants through qualitative interviews, and she continues to seek training in qualitative research methods. She was recently awarded ‘Best Academic Research Poster’ at the Appalachian Translational Research Network annual meeting for her poster presenting qualitative results from the HHARC study. In her free time Laura enjoys sewing, singing, and frequenting Sorella Gelateria in Lexington. This year she completed her 11^th quilt and she has plans to make many more!
