Our laboratory - Translational Analytics (Biochemical Analysis Laboratory) - is part of the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science. The lab supports clinical and translation science through experimental design; assay recommendations; sample processing and storage; colorimetric, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent immunological assays; glucose and insulin assays; and muscle biopsy processing. Supported studies include exercise and muscle health with age or inflammatory disease; interventions for insulin resistance and diabetes; adolescent behavior and obesity; MRI and myocardial fibrosis; well-being and chronic pain; drug addiction and cessation; smoking cessation in cancer patients; supplemental interventions for cancer and heart failure patients, and patients with chronic kidney disease; prostate cancer biomarkers; advanced methods for recovery after ACL reconstruction, breast feeding benefits; and improving health in underserved populations.
