Roberts Laboratory
We are a translational research laboratory that focuses on diseases encompassing vascular pathology, such as stroke, moyamoya syndrome, and vascular dementia. Utilizing both animal models of disease and human research participants, our goal is to develop novel interventions to improve health. Collaboration of both clinicians and basic scientists is a vital part of our research program and affords a multi-faceted approach to our research projects.
Visit the Roberts lab page on the Center for Advanced Translational Stroke Science (CATSS) website.

MASTER (Moyamoya and Stroke Tissue Evaluation and Repository)
Status: Recruiting
Principal investigator at UK:
- Jill Roberts, PhD
Sub Investigators at UK:
- Justin F. Fraser, MD
- Jessica Lee, MD
Sponsor: NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences and UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science
Purpose: This is an un-blinded, clinical and biological registry to evaluate specific questions to aid in the understanding of moyamoya syndrome. Blood samples and clinical data are evaluated for specific inflammatory proteins and their correlation to moyamoya severity and presence of co-morbidities.
Condition: Moyamoya
Intervention: There is no therapeutic intervention involved in this study.
