Islam Y Elgendy, MD

Islam Elgendy, is Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky, and Medical Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Lexington VA Medical Center. His research interest includes complex PCI, as well as pharmacological and interventional therapies for acute coronary syndrome, and cardiogenic shock. He is an author of over 500 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals.Dr. Elgendy serves on national committees through American College of Cardiology, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, and the American Heart Association.
