Why did you choose the University of Kentucky?

Kentucky is home for me and University of Kentucky serves a diverse patient base with cutting edge care allowing comprehensive pathology training to prepare me whatever comes my way so I can best serve my future patients.

What do you like about your program?

The complex pathologies seen at the University make for exciting sign outs and unique teaching opportunities that will make me comfortable for practice anywhere. Staff within the pathology department are nationally recognized physicians who are enthusiastic to teach and provide an ideal teaching environment for training. The residents are professional and inviting making them more than colleagues and all of which I would proudly call family. Above all, the department puts patients first and has a huge emphasis that pathology isn't just about slides and specimens, its about patient care first. The didactic curriculum is novel and unique to this program, requiring extensive effort put forth by faculty provides an excellent foundation for board certification. The program provides complete training with an emphasis on integrating clinical medicine with histology creating a future of complete, well-rounded pathologists.
