Biography

Daniel Lee, MD, FAAN, FAASM received his Neurology training at the Washington University Barnes-Jewish-Children Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Additionally, Dr. Lee completed his training in Sleep Medicine at The Stanford University School of Sleep Medicine in Palo Alto, California. He authored the first paper on the treatment of Restless Legs Syndrome with Ropinirole and the first non-Dopaminergic treatment of Restless Legs Syndrome. Dr. Lee has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and served on the at National Scientific Advisory Board of RLS research. His recent publication in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine led to the FDA mandating label changes for all the Dopamine Agonists in the treatment of RLS in November 2019. He has received numerous teaching awards including the AOA Medical Honor Society Faculty Teaching Award and has presented at various national and international conferences including the International Conference on Translational Research in Beijing, China and the International Congress of Parkinson Disease and Movement Disorders in Paris, France. He is the recipient of the 2020 Kentucky Senate Commendation for his accomplishments. He is serving as the Medical Director at the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute and has served as the President of the Kentucky Sleep Society. He is also the Vice Chief of Staff at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center and as the Vice President of the Kentucky Neurologic Society.
