Biography and Education

Biography

Dr. Mirrakhimov completed his medical education at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University School of Medicine in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. After medical school, he began his internal medicine residency at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University School of Medicine. He then later completed a second internal medicine residency at the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago Illinois in 2015. Following his residency, Dr. Mirrakhimov worked for three years as an adult hospitalist within the division of hospital medicine at the University of Kentucky. In 2018, Dr. Mirrakhimov continued his training at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine as a fellow in critical care medicine. After the successful completion of his critical care medicine fellowship, Dr. Mirrakhimov continued with an anesthesiology residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine until his graduation in 2023. Following this residency, Dr. Mirrakhimov then completed his training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a fellow in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology in 2024.

Dr. Mirrakhimov is board certified in internal medicine and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also anesthesiology and adult cardiac anesthesiology certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and certified in advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography and critical care echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography, as well.

SPECIAL INTERESTS:

Dr. Mirrakhimov has a special interest in right ventricular physiology and pulmonary hypertension.
