Before attending the University of Kentucky, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. While working at MD Anderson, his research work was focused on developing novel immunotherapy approaches to target specific tumor biomarkers expressed in pediatric brain tumors and developed mouse models of glioma for the preclinical evaluation of adoptive immunotherapy targeting brain tumors. His clinical and research interests include neuro-oncology, epilepsy and movement disorders.
