Women's History Month: College of Medicine Hosting Virtual Film Screening, Panel Discussion

Happy Women’s History Month from the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion!

In celebration of the accomplishments of women in medicine and science and recognizing the work that still needs to be done, ODEI is collaborating with Women in Medicine and Science (WIMS) and the Office of Biomedical Education to host a virtual screening of "Picture a Scientist."

"Picture a Scientist" is a feature-length documentary film chronicling the groundswell of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists. When you register, you will receive a link to the virtual screening room starting March 25.

This viewing will be followed by a panel discussion. The discussion will take place March 31 from noon-1 p.m. with female scientists from all levels as they share their experiences and where the sciences can go from here. 

(While you do not have to watch the film before participating in the panel discussion, it is strongly encouraged.)
