Visiting Faculty Seminar: Anthony N. Demaria, MD MACC
On June 8th, we were honored to have Dr. Anthony N. DeMaria give a Visiting Faculty Seminar on the "Value and Limitations of Clinical Trials". Dr. DeMaria is a former Division Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Kentucky (1981-1992), and University of California, San Diego (1992-2004). He is Past President of the American Society of Echocardiography (1985-1987) and Past President of American College of Cardiology (1988). He served as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of American College of Cardiology (2002-2014). He has numerous honors including being a member of the prestigious Association of University Cardiologists. He is currently Professor of Medicine, Judith & Jack White Chair in Cardiology, and Founding Director of the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center at UCSD. Cardiology faculty and fellows were able to meet with Dr. DeMaria at an evening gathering on June 7th. The fellows had the opportunity to have round table discussion with Dr. DeMaria at noon on June 8th.
