The University of Kentucky College of Medicine will celebrate the Class of 2022 during its annual spring commencement ceremony.

There will be 44 biomedical learners honored at this ceremony, including 35 master’s students and nine PhD students. Learners involved in biomedical programs at the UK College of Medicine gain knowledge and experience for prosperous careers in research and research-related areas.

The College of Medicine will celebrate graduates from its main campus in Lexington, the Rural Physician Leadership Program in Morehead, Ky., and for the first time, graduates at the UK College of Medicine-Bowling Green Campus.

On Match Day this spring, 147 medical students matched into 66 different institutions and 19 different specialties. Approximately 37% chose to pursue a residency in Kentucky, aligning with the College of Medicine’s mission of training more physicians to address the state’s shortage and advance health care in the Commonwealth.
