The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Resident/Fellow of the Month program honors residents and fellows who have displayed exemplary service to patients and/or families, outstanding educational efforts, and/or humanitarian service.
May Resident of the Month: Lawrence Butros, MD
Dr. Butros, a PGY-4 in nephrology, is recognized for his care coordination, leadership skills, and professionalism when helping his fellow residents and patients. Colleagues describe Dr. Butros as a phenomenal fellow, who goes above and beyond to provide care for patients. Dr. Butros coordinates care for patients requiring nephrology intervention, both inpatient and outpatient, in addition to having conversations with patients and their families regarding complex concepts. He is a leader among his peers and works hard to arrange schedules for next academic year, assuring that all lectures and academics are covered. Congratulations, Dr. Butros!
