UK HealthCare’s Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) specialty was recognized as a top national specialty in the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings.
The specialty moved up from No.28 to No. 15, marking the fourth consecutive year the program has been recognized among the nation’s top specialties. The continued recognition reflects the dedication of faculty, staff and care teams to excellence in women’s health.
“We are honored to be recognized among the nation’s top programs for the fourth consecutive year,” said Emily DeFranco, D.O., John W. Greene Endowed Professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. “This recognition strengthens our commitment to advancing women’s health and improving the lives of patients through exceptional care, research and education.”
In addition to the top national ranking, Gynecologic Cancer Surgery received a “High Performing” designation.
U.S. News specialty rankings measure patient outcomes from objective data sources such as Medicare claims. All evaluated hospitals and their results – including overall scores – are displayed online, but only the top 50 hospitals for each specialty are ranked.
