Call for Applications

The College of Medicine and Center for Clinical and Translational Science at UK will accept applications for pilot projects according to the following schedule:

v Call for Applications: May 16, 2016

v Letter of Intent due: June 1, 2016

v Invitation to submit Full Application: June 15, 2016

v Full Application due: July 15, 2016

v Funding Decision: August 8 2016

The purpose of this funding mechanism is to provide a new opportunity and resources to support innovative, collaborative research projects with investigator initiated clinical studies that are developed by a multi-disciplinary team, inclusive of colleges and centers across UK.

Priority for funding:

·         teams that includes at least one member with strongly funded science;

·         a team that includes a physician investigator;

·         projects with a clear plan toward future federal funding grant submissions;

·         a feasible clinical/translational study;

·         some relevance to the health challenges and disparities faced by Kentucky.

Investigators at all stages of career development, junior, middle level, and senior are eligible to apply to the following categories of awards

In order to qualify for this round of funding the CCTS must receive a Letter of Intent (LOI) and biosketch via the following link LOI submission link ,

no later than 5: 00 pm, Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
