JoAnne Burris, CNM, was recently inducted as a fellow of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM).
The Fellowship in the American College of Nurse-Midwives recognizes midwives for their leadership, clinical excellence, scholarship and professional achievements. Fellows also serve the organization in a consultative and advisory capacity, sharing their expertise to advance the midwifery profession.
Established in 1994, the fellowship program has recognized more than 700 ACNM members.
Burris is a midwife at the UK Midwife Clinic, where she also serves as midwife division chief.
