The UK College of Medicine is excited to announce the launch of its brand new website.

Creating this website was no simple feat. For reference, it required careful review of more than 2,500 pages and more than 5,000 profiles, encompassed more than 5,000 hours of work, and took a team of more than 11 people to complete. Project leadership gained important feedback with the help of two committees of 17 people, and the team received additional website development support from a contracted agency.

Our website is where prospective faculty, staff, and learners go to access the latest information on programs, events, and stories capturing our mission for a healthier Kentucky. Ultimately, the website is how we tell our story.

New and Enhanced Features

Along with a refreshed look and more organized content, the new website includes:

  • Extensive flexibility for customized layouts of each department, center, and unit landing page with the addition of new components such as calls to action, testimonials, statistics, and customizable page headers that easily incorporate the University's web and brand standards. These options will ensure that each area is able to promote their strengths effectively.
  • Redesigned profiles and events pages to improve user experience and maximize flexibility for the departments, centers, and units.
  • A revamped news section to promote the great things happening every day at the college and each of its departments, centers, and units.
  • A more robust section for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, including a diversity calendar you can find on the top navigation menu.
  • Photo galleries allowing prospective faculty, learners, or staff to browse multiple photos on a related topic or from the same event. (Like this one on the college’s “about us” page.)
  • Zippers that allow us to consolidate information, clear up crowded text, and simplify user experience. (Like this one on our medical student admissions FAQ page.)
