Members from our hospital medicine division recently attended the Heartland Hospital Medicine Conference, a regional hospital medicine conference that brings together hospital medicine clinicians to share knowledge, discuss best practices and stay current on clinical advances.
Now in its ninth year, the conference features high-quality educational sessions focused on clinical updates, evidence-based guidelines and topics directly relevant to hospital medicine practice. The meeting also includes a poster session that highlights clinical vignettes and scholarly initiatives from clinicians and trainees in the region.
"My favorite part of Heartland is the opportunity to attend a regional conference that offers outstanding content tailored specifically to hospital medicine while also connecting with colleagues from across the region," said Sarah Vick, M.D., associate professor of medicine and hospitalist at UK HealthCare. "It is valuable to learn from experts and peers who face similar clinical challenges, and the networking opportunities help strengthen professional relationships and foster collaboration close to home."
