I fell in love with Lexington and the community I had created for myself at the University of Kentucky; it only seemed right that I stay to continue my medical education at the place and in the state I call home.

Our Community Impact

The work of educating and training highly qualified physicians and researchers to serve Kentucky and the nation cannot be done without considering the ways in which our identities impact how we navigate our hallways, classrooms, laboratories, clinical settings, and the world around us.

To address these complexities and build healthier communities together, the Office of Community Advancement focuses on regional engagement, community engagement, research and advocacy, educational excellence, and fostering connections that support recruitment and retention.
