Why did you choose the University of Kentucky?
The camaraderie here is unparalleled and is one of the main reasons I chose UK. The residents and faculty take every opportunity to teach, always have your back, and have fun. Lexington is a mid-sized city with plenty of breweries, bourbon distilleries, and things to do when your family and friends visit.
What do you like about your program?
It was important to me for a program to have all the subspecialties covered in one place, a high operative volume, few fellows, and great fellowship matches for previous residents. UK has all of those. The faculty here is well connected.
What are your hobbies?
Vinyl Records - currently have 1,215 vinyl record albums. Best album nobody has heard of: L.A. Getaway by Joel Scott Hill.
Green Bay Packers. Currently #19,453 on the waiting list.
Hiking National Parks - coolest hike was summiting Half Dome at Yosemite.
