Christopher Desimone, MD

Dr. DeSimone attended Boston University and the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the subspecialty of Gynecologic Oncology.  His current research in ovarian cancer is a combined project with the Department of Dentistry. The NCI-funded study explores the genetic association between women with hypodontia (congenitally missing teeth) and epithelial ovarian cancer. Dr. DeSimone is also involved with several national clinical trials utilizing chemotherapy for the treatment of ovarian cancer. He is the director of UK HealthCare’s Robotic-assisted Surgery Program.
