United Way of the Bluegrass Employee Giving Campaign launches October 11.

Dear College of Medicine,

I’m excited to announce that Monday, October 11, marks the start of our United Way of the Bluegrass Employee Giving Campaign!

We are glad to continue the College of Medicine’s proud tradition of giving back to the community through United Way of the Bluegrass.

From October 11 to October 29, you will have the chance to learn what United Way of the Bluegrass is doing to help the community and how you can make an impact. As the college’s United Way Employee Campaign Coordinator, I’ll be sharing information about the campaign, and the impact we can all have on our community when we each do what we can.

Last year, the college raised $20,718 through the campaign – THANK YOU! This year, the college strives to reach a goal of $23,000 and make a positive impact on our community. The university’s collective goal is $224,000. I have no doubt the College of Medicine can meet and surpass this goal given what has historically been raised.

Beginning October 11, you will have the opportunity to give through several ways:

  • Payroll reduction (one-time or recurring*) by way of myUK (Click here for instructions.)
    • As of January 1, 2020, your recurring payroll deduction will roll over each year, so there is no need to re-submit
      • If you made a recurring donation to a specific United Way funded agency, the United Way Campus Coordinator will contact you if there have been any agency changes
    • If at any time you wish to cancel future donations, contact: uk-unitedway@uky.edu
  • Cash/check print a pledge form found here
    • Return to me in MN148 within the Dean’s suite (MN150), Pav H – Willard Medical Education Building; or
    • Contact uk-unitedway@uky.edu and they will pick up your donation

United Way of the Bluegrass fights for the basic needs, education and financial stability of every person in Central Kentucky. Please join me in supporting this work and contact me at shav.ross@uky.edu with questions. Thank you for caring about the people who need our support the most.

Let’s have a great campaign!
