The UK College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has two fellowships that are the only two of their kind in the state of Kentucky, one in maternal-fetal medicine and one in gynecologic oncology.

Both fellowships are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Maternal Fetal Medicine

The maternal-fetal medicine fellowship was approved in November 2007. The fellowship is purposely designed to be well balanced and structured while maintaining flexibility to meet the individual interests and long term objectives of the fellow.

Gynecologic Oncology

The gynecologic oncology fellowship is structured to prepare the fellow for a career in academic gynecologic oncology. The fellowship selection process identifies candidates with excellent clinical and teaching skills, a career interest in oncology, and demonstrated ability in basic, translational, or clinical research. After completing the interview process, these candidates are given the highest priority for acceptance into the program.
