Lexington, consolidated with Fayette County, is the second-largest city in Kentucky and the 60th largest in the United States. Known as the "Horse Capital of the World", it is located in the heart of Kentucky's Bluegrass Region. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 322,570, anchoring a metropolitan area of 516,811 people and a combined statistical area of 747,919 people. Lexington ranks tenth among US cities in college education rate, with 39.5% of residents having at least a bachelor's degree. It is the location of Rupp Arena, the world's largest basketball-specific arena and home of our beloved University of Kentucky Basketball team, Kentucky Horse ParkThe Red Mile and Keeneland Race Courses

Lexington is strategically located at the intersection of interstates 64 and 75 in Fayette County, Ky. Lexington is accessible by air with approximately 100 direct and non-stops flights via the Blue Grass Airport (LEX).  Cincinnati, OH and Louisville, KY is located within two hours of driving distance. Nashville, Tn. is three hours away. Lexington have a very rich cultural live, many shows are available at the UK Opera Theatre, the Singletary Center for the Arts and the Lexington Opera House, among others. There are many excellent shopping venues located with the city such as Fayette Mall and Hamburg Pavilion. Traffic is easily navigable which makes getting around a breeze.

Education is a hallmark of the Lexington community. The city is home to two wonderful universities: Transylvania University and the University of Kentucky, and an excellent technical college: Bluegrass Community & Technical College. Fayette County, in which the city of Lexington, is located has an excellent primary school system which in addition to standard K-12 education, provides specialized high school education in information technology, pre-engineering, arts, and international baccalaureate programs. Additionally, there are many private schools in the city and county as well.
