Join us for a monthly book club addressing the book Next Gen PhD: A Guide to Career Paths in Science by Melanie Sinche. The kick-off reception will take place September 26th with monthly meetings starting in October. We will be joined by the author (remotely) at the kick-off, so come with questions for her! This book club is open to faculty, staff and trainees. There will be several book club times and locations to accommodate busy schedules. Books provided free to the first 60 people to sign up.

Aurora by "Beyond the Professoriate" is a newly released eLearning Platform for which the UK Graduate School has purchased a subscription. It provides graduate students with on-demand, self-paced learning modules to explore career options and discover ways to apply the skills acquired through their education. Come hear Dr. Maren Wood, co-founder of "Beyond the Professoriate," talk about how to use this new platform and discuss her own career path as an entrepreneur.

Learn more about the youngest Generation as they exit the classroom and enter our workforce. GenZ will be greatly needed and indulged in the workforce due to labor projections in the coming years. Knowing what makes them different from their older counterparts – the Millennials- will help us be prepared for the cultural shifts expected, as these two generations reshape our world of work.
