Through the leadership of the University of Kentucky Division of Gynecologic Oncology, the division is a major referral center that is highly regarded in Kentucky, the region, and the nation for its treatment of patients affected by gynecologic malignancies.

The division includes four faculty members who are board certified subspecialists in gynecologic oncology. These physicians have completed advanced training in all aspects of oncology treatment and radical pelvic surgery. They provide compassionate individualized care to women with ovarian, fallopian tube, cervical, uterine, and other gynecologic cancers. Patients are often eligible to receive the most advanced treatment through participation in a number of national clinical trials.

The division of gynecologic oncology is committed to educating the health care providers of today and the future, and to conducting ethical clinical research that will lead to more effective prevention, detection, and treatment of women with gynecologic cancers.
