Internal Medicine Divisions Nephrology, Bone, and Mineral Metabolism Bone Biopsy Training Bone Biopsy Training Bone biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure that remains the gold standard method to diagnose the type and severity of renal osteodystrophy. The procedure is minimally invasive and is performed on an outpatient basis. The College of Medicine Division of Nephrology offers hands-on training for physicians that wish to perform this procedure.
